ORGANIZATION (Characteristics of) 2)
← Back
BERTALANFFY stated (1956) "Characteristics of organization, that of a living organism or a society, are notions like those of wholeness, growth, differentiation, hierarchical order, dominance, control, competition and so forth" (1956, p.7).
He noticed that: "Such notions do not appear in conventional physics" (while) "Systems theory is well capable of dealing with these matters" (Ibid).
He gave as examples of specific systemic theories those about biological equilibria, cyclical fluctuations and others introduced by LOTKA, VOLTERRA, GAUSE and more authors and signaled their probable isomorphy, at least partial, with certain quantitative theories in economy.
