ORGANIZATION as a pattern 2)
← Back
Organization may be understood as a pattern (in contrast to random distribution of elements):
- either in space, as a stable structure
- or in time, as a changing structure
E. MORIN proposes three different types of organization, understood as a process evolving in time:
- Re-organization, which expresses diachronic transformation;
- Self-organization, which corresponds to closure of the system by recursion, and autonomy;
- Eco-organization, which expresses the systems openness on its environment (after MORIN, 1990).
